INUKI TACHIHARA
Master of Woodblock Ukiyo-e Print Artist
When I saw Inuki Tachihara’s prints for the first time in 2006, I was so much impressed and moved by his talents and wonderful works so that I felt must introduce his various types of ukiyo-e to the world, so my company, Joyconcept immediately started promoting him and his works.
As one of our projects, we held exhibitions in various places including overseas. In other projects, Joyconcept became the publisher of his series of works, “Ōatari Kyōgen”(high quality reproduction of “Ōatari Kyōgen” original by KUNISADA, 1786-1864), and published his autobiography, “Itou-Ichie”, to pass on to future generations the value of his half-century of prints.
His work attracts attention not only from Japan but also from overseas.
