1979, he started his carrier as a glass blower in Denmark, and established his own glass atelier in Gunma, Japan, 1981. Since 1983 up to the present date, he exhibited his works to several exhibitions such as "Asahi Modern Craft Exhibition" and "JGAA Glass in Japan exhibition". His works are housed in the Bornholm Museum in Denmark, and Osaka University of Arts.
Akio Kurokawa make beautiful sharp cuts on the brilliant colored glass blown by Makoto Kojima. This fantastic collaboration creates the new style of Kiriko. |
